Sarah Benson

Our beautiful and compassionate Sarah Benson passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2024.

Sarah is survived by her Grandma Lee Patterson, parents Craig and Shelly Benson, sister Emmalee Benson, and brothers Scott and Alex Benson living in Bellbrook, Ohio.  Sarah is also survived by her boyfriend Rico Kernot, his extended family, his parents William and Melinda, and sisters Maya and Kiki.

Sarah was born in Kettering, Ohio on October 4, 1999 to Craig and Shelly Benson.  Sarah was a wonderful and accomplished ballet dancer who graduated from Toledo University.  She received her Yoga teaching certification during her time in Bali, and taught at Soul Align and YNG Yoga studios in San Clemente, California.

Sarah loved the freedom she felt through movement which she found in her dancing and yoga.  She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was through the challenge of hiking or soaking in the sunshine at the beach.  Sarah filled her adventurous spirit by traveling the world with frequent trips to Hawaii, Bali, Hungary, Croatia, and Mexico.  She loved her life in sunny California and being so close to the ocean.  She was an avid animal lover with a tremendous heart who cared for all animals and life.  She was active with pet rescue and particularly dedicated to saving and finding homes for dogs.  Sarah brought so much to all who had the joy to know her with her gentle, kind, and caring essence.  She will be forever loved in all our hearts.

Celebration of life services will be held on August 18th at 212 Avenida Princesa, CA 92672.  There will be an additional service in her home town of Bellbrook OH at a later date.
